Celia Vicé


Celia Vicé was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico in 1913 and she migrated to Brooklyn in 1926. Ms. Vicé was interviewed by the Brooklyn Historical Society in 1974 for the Puerto Rican Oral History collection. She was a community leader in Brooklyn, very active with the local school board as well as the Puerto Rican Council of Brooklyn and the Commission on Human Rights. At the time of this interview, she was president of the Puerto Rican Heritage Publishing Company in New York.
